When Susan Lopez started to create fun tutus for dogs, we spoke with her about doing a web site. After giving it some thought, Susan decided that would be a smart decision to help get her name out there and create a web presence. She immediately printed up her business cards and included her new web domain on it. We set up the free consultation and began tossing ideas around. We gave Susan several homework assignments, including setting up a merchant account, and we got to work on constructing her site. Susan found a fun WordPress theme that she thought would work for her image and set up her hosting account with a private security certificate. That in place we could begin building her Ecommerce shopping cart.
Within about a month Susan called us and said she got a 50 piece order wondering if this was for real. We assured her that it was as we personally know the new client from our network of business contacts. So, needless to say, Susan Lopez, the new internet entrepreneur, is off and running with her new venture.
Mark and Ginger Stephenson, of Marginn Kennels in Lake Matthews, CA, have a long outstanding reputation in the Dog Show world. Mark has been showing and handling dachshunds and other breeds for many years and has a grand reputation all across the country. When some of his family and friends ask him why he does what he does, Mark puts a smirk on his face and tells them that when you are on TV and in the limelight it’s hard to go back.
Mark had already known that he should get himself on the internet and when he found out that we were able to get him up very quickly, he was anxious to get started. Within two days, marginnkennels.com was launched.
Since that time, Mark has made minor updates, like switching out some pictures, etc., which only take a few minutes to do. He and Ginger are enjoying newly-developed relationships with people who find them online.
It’s been 50 years since the inception of Hub Poodle Club of Orange County was founded. When president, Toni Woods, got the idea of adding a web site to the group, she was excited indeed. This not-for-profit organization voted it in and within a couple of months, people started finding the club on the internet.
It’s amazing how old friends can hook up so easily with access to the world wide web.
A long-time wedding-profession associate of ours, Pamela Brown, had been marketing her services for many years and finally decided that she needed an online presence. Admiration Wellness Products is a prime example of a very simple shopping cart system. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles you would find in a Zen Cart, but it does keep things very simple. When you first look at the site, you’ll find a couple of dropdown menues which lead you to the product pages. There are links on those product pages that lead you to a shopping cart page which is maintained on a completely different, hidden site. It still looks like your site.
